Water Damage
Clean-water toilet overflow cleaned up, dried, and sanitized before it soaks into the floor.
Water Damage
A toilet overflow of clean water still soaks into flooring, subfloor, and the ceiling below fast. We extract it, dry the structure, and sanitize the area. If the overflow involves sewage, we treat it as a biohazard.
In an apartment building, an overflow upstairs often comes through the ceiling below, and we handle both units, whether it's a Manhattan co-op or a Brooklyn two-family.
Do You Need This?
If any of these sound familiar, call us and we will tell you honestly what you are dealing with.
What To Expect
Clean-water overflow is a water-damage job; anything involving sewage is a biohazard and we handle it accordingly. We extract the water, dry the floor, subfloor, and any ceiling below, and sanitize the area. If it went through to a lower floor, we dry both.
Know What You Have
Not every toilet leak is a sewage job. A leaking supply line or a cracked tank is clean water. Water that overflows out of the bowl is different. If there was waste in it, it is Category 3, sewage, and everything it soaked into gets treated that way.
A toilet that overflows when nobody flushed it, or when the washing machine drains, is a sign the main line is blocked. We see it a lot in older two-family homes in Queens and Brooklyn. That is a sewer backup, and it will happen again until the line is cleared.
In apartment buildings, a toilet overflow rarely stays in one bathroom. It runs under the tile, through the subfloor and into the ceiling of the unit below. We open the ceiling to check the joists and insulation, the same way we handle stack backups in Manhattan buildings, remove what is contaminated, treat it and dry it. Both units get documented, which helps when two insurance companies are involved.
How It Works
You always know what happens next, and you deal with one company the whole way.
A real person picks up 24/7 and gets the nearest crew moving to your address.
We map the full damage with moisture meters and thermal imaging, including what is hidden.
We stop the spread and dry the structure properly. Equipment goes in the same day.
We document everything for your insurer, then rebuild and restore your property to its pre-loss condition, and walk it with you before we call it done.

Clean-water overflow is mainly a water-damage issue, but any overflow involving sewage is a biohazard and has to be handled with protective gear and decontamination.
Yes. We dry the floor it came from and the ceiling and walls below, and check for hidden moisture in between.
Yes. The tank holds clean supply water. Water that overflows from the bowl is a different story, especially if there was waste in it.
If it was clean water and we get there fast, tile and the floor under it can often be dried. If it was sewage and it got under the floor, the subfloor and anything porous usually has to come out.
Water, fire, mold, or sewage, one call starts the recovery. We show up fast and we do not leave until it is done right.
